I like to support the businesses in my community that support the schools in my town. I don't expect businesses to contribute but value the ones are community supporters. I am helping running comedy fundraiser for my son's school.
I have been regularly going to one pizza place the last few years because they support the community. They donate pizza or give us a really good discount. They are able to deduct as a charity expense plus they get some exposure.
This past year the owner died and a new owner took over. Absolutely no way will they donate any pizza or give a discount.
The pizza place down the store is now providing the pizza for free. Plus they donated 3 $25 gift certificates to be rafffled off.
Which pizza place which will be getting my dollars when we get the urge for pizza.
