I am doing my budget for May and it is going to be an expensive month. I have a wedding shower, a baby shower gift, mother's day gifts for my mom and my mother in law plus a graduation party. I am sure I am missing several social events as well. My gifts for the baby and bridal shower will be limited to $30. For mother’s day my sister and I are getting tickets to a play that we will go to. and that will also be her birthday gift which is in late May. My husband is in charge of my MIL but it will probably be about $30-$35. For graduation it will be another $30-35 in cash.
I have money set aside for gifts each month but May always brings that money close to zero. I put in $80 a month that goes for any gifts and for Christmas each year.
