Yes it is an age old question. They get a run and you have to throw them out. Panty hose are not exactly cheap either so you want to get the most wears out of them.
I highly recommend out checking out protecting panty hoses. It is not the simple things of making sure your toenails are trimmed or putting nail polish on the runs.
