Holiday shoppers love their credit cards

Donating To Earthquake & Tsunami Victims

I have been so sadden by the events in Southeastern Asia. I can't imagine the horror and the fear that people are going through right now. God bless all of them.

Donating To Earthquake & Tsunami Victims

Sometimes events take place in the world that transcend borders, nationalities and religions. The recent earthquake and following tsunami (tidal wave) in Indonesia that has killed many tens of thousands of people and displaced millions is one of those events.

For those wondering how you can help those who were affected by this tragic event, the following charities are collecting donations and helping out in the areas damaged:

Action Against Hunger

ADRA International

American Friends Service Committee
(AFSC Crisis Fund)

Direct Relief International

Doctors Without Borders

International Medical Corps

International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies
P.O. Box 372
CH-1211 Geneva 19

MAP International

Mercy Corps

Network for Good

Operation USA

Relief International

Save the Children

United Nations World Food Program

United States Fund for UNICEF

Are you returning gifts this year?

I am debating. My mother bought me sweaters that are just not my style. Heck what style does a 34 yr work at home mom besides jeans and a sweatshirt. LOL Today I switched out of my jeans into my flannel pj bottoms as soon as I got back into the house.

I worked for Lechmere's in Boston for years and remember the week after Christmas as hell. Lots of returns and people brought back gifts that were years old. Okay you are returning Atari that came out in 1984 in 1990. Yup that was a gift....

Well if you are going to make returns Check out these tips

How much money will make you happy?

Let's cut right to the chase here. How much money is enough? How much would make you happy this holiday season? We mean really happy.

Personally for me... just enough to pay the bills and not stress about how I will pay this bill or that bill each month. Plus enough for a nice long vacation each year paid in cash :)

How about you?

Enjoy your savings!

Shoppers hunt for bargains

They don't want customers to EVER use those gift cards. They want them to forget about them, or lose them, or cut them in half. The retailer already has the cash and doesn't want to have to part with the merchandise. The longer someone takes to use their gift card, the more they're ripped off in junk fees. Anonymous donor gives $35,000 to homeless-shelter residents

DENVER (AP) — The 300 residents of the Samaritan House homeless shelter didn't know what to expect when a 40-something man with a gray beard parked his black SUV in front of the shelter on Christmas Eve.

Such a beautiful story...
