Many of our local Stop and Shops also have gas pumps! They offer a great deal and discount on gas.
If you show your S&S card at the pump you get a discount of 5 cents a gallon. However if you spend $50 on grocery shopping you get a 10 cent off a gallon coupon. So you could save up to 15 cents off a gallon coupon!
They have been doing this for a while but I have to admit I really didn't think about it too much. However I did some comparsion shopping for gas with the local Cumberland Farms. This is from Sunday gas at Cumby was $2.75 and gas before the discount at S&S was $2.74.
We had been getting our gas at Cumberland but will now be getting our gas at Stop and Shop.
