Frugal home pedicure
Home Pedicure Tips for Moms
Sometimes, it’s the simple pleasures in life that make us happy. Pampering, even for just an hour, can make all the difference. Pedicures can be expensive at the nail salon so save some many and do it yourself after the kids are asleep.
1. Light an scented candle, and place it on the counter top in your bathroom.
2. Fill your tub with warm water. Add either Epsom salt or your favorite bath salt.
3. Using cotton balls, remove old polish from your toenails with nail polish remover.
4. Soak your feet for ten to fifteen minutes.
5. Using a pumice stone to rub the heels and balls of your feet to remove dead skin. If you have a soft brush, you can use that as well.
6. Dry your feet thoroughly.
7. Cut your toenails.
8. Using your favorite moisturizer, massage your cuticles and both feet.
9. Gently push back your cuticles with an orange stick, and remove the excess cuticles.
10. Massage your legs with the moisturizer as well.
11. One foot at a time, apply clear nail hardener.
12. Apply your favorite color nail polish.
13. Apply a second coat of nail hardener.
14. Add cotton balls in between toes until nails are dry.
15. Use flip-flops if you need to walk around, or simply relax in your scented bathroom until nails are dry.
Wasn’t that a wonderful experience? Do you feel relaxed? Home pedicures can be just as soothing as going to a spa or salon; the only difference is it doesn’t cost anything except the price of a small bottle of nail polish. In addition, having an hour of alone time is completely worth the experience.

I love my new pledge duster
I hate housework and then new pledge duster caught my eye plus I had a coupon for it so I figured I would give it a try.
I tried the new Pledge Duster with spray today and it’s so cool! It’s so much better than the Swiffer. It is thicker than the Swiffer and I think it handles more dust and doesn’t tear up as easy as the Swiffer. The handle is sturdy and comes with a thick dusting material that is very soft. It also comes with a small bottle of multi surface spray that you spray on the cloth to help the dust to stick and keep your furniture shinning. The bottle snaps into the handle for easy storage and you take it with you from room to room.

Scam proof your life
There are so many scams out there today and there is a great new book Scam-Proof Your Life: 377 Smart Ways to Protect You & Your Family from Ripoffs, Bogus Deals & Other Consumer Headaches (AARP)
The "Scam-Alert" columnist from the AARP newsletter, Sal Kirchheimer has authored or edited 12-plus Ralph Nader-like salvos aimed at taking out consumer-directed fraud. Kirchheimer interviewed "nearly 100 reformed scammers" for this compendium of recent bilking schemes and corner-cuttings.
This book tells everything you ever wanted to know about saving money, avoiding consumer traps, and making the best decisions about buying a car or a home, paying for college, booking a vacation, choosing a phone plan or credit card, and much more. The author interviewed "insiders," the very people you wish you could talk to before spending money. Buying a new or used car? The author talked with car salesmen to find out how they operate. He even interviewed the con artist who inspired the movie "Catch Me If You Can" with Leonardo DiCaprio.

You pay $10 for cat coffee?
I like a good cup of coffee and primarily drink it at home. Occasionally I will spurge for Dunkin Donuts but never would I send $10 a on cup of coffee. So when I was drinking my own cup of joe this morning, I heard about the cat feces coffee.
If that isn't the grossest thing I heard lately and I am a momma to 3 boys.
I'll pass on the cat coffee
If that isn't the grossest thing I heard lately and I am a momma to 3 boys.
8-ounce cup of Kopi Luwak coffee is for sale at Jim Cone's "Coffee and Tea Limited" store in Minneapolis.
The Civet cats eat the coffee, digest it and then the makers harvest the remnants from their excrement.
"It's a unique product," roastmaster Jim Cone said. "You have to have an army of Civet cats to pick this stuff and process it."

30 day challenge
Carrie of Blah, Blah, Blog has issued a challenge to make sure you are posting to your blog daily. I haven't been and I really need to get my butt in gear ont this blog and my Wahm bloggers network blog. So it is a timely challenge to start blogging again. I had some health issues during the last part of 2006 topped with some personal crisis that prevented me from focusing.
I am back in action now!! And thinking of new things to write and share about!!
